How long is your tour?
One complete loop takes 60 minutes and covers old San Antonio and our most treasured cultural attractions; however, our Hop Pass (hop on, hop off feature) allows you to take the tour at your leisure. You can actually fit the tour to your schedule and make it last as long as you want. (One day use only).

How many stops do you have along the route?
We have 9 designated hop stops along our tour. These are located conveniently near historical points of interest, museums, parks, restaurants, and shopping areas.
Alamo Trolley
Is the tour narrated?
Yes, the tour guides tell you about the rich history of San Antonio, from the Alamo, to the Missions and the River Walk. The guides will amuse you with anecdotes about the colorful individuals who helped shape San Antonio’s history.
Alamo Trolley
Is it better to ride the tour all the way around one time, and then start again at the beginning to get on and off?
It is more advantageous to start getting on and off the trolley the first time you go around. There is so much to see and do in San Antonio that you may find that there are more stops that you want to get off and explore than you realize. The complete loop is 60 minutes, and you lose precious time that could be spent exploring the sights if you ride all the way around without taking advantage of the hop on and hop off option. We recommend that you re-board at the same location you got off at last. Since all of our drivers follow the same route and historical script, you essentially pick up the narration where you left off.

Are your trolleys handicap accessible for individuals with wheelchairs and motorized scooters?
Indeed, a number of our fleet are equipped with motorized lifts that can accommodate scooters and/or wheelchairs.  We are happy to provide this service, but ask for a few small accommodations to allow us to do so with the utmost safety and minimal impact on other guests utilizing our service.
We request that you give us as much notice as possible as to your arrival date and the time you’d like to take the tour (24 hours preferred). This will assure that a properly equipped vehicle will be made available for your use.  Please arrive to the Visitors Center across from the Alamo in the Menger Hotel no less than 15 minutes prior to your departure time so that we can accomplish the loading process smoothly and safely.
We require that you load and unload at the Visitors Center across from the Alamo in the Menger Hotel ONLY.  This is due to the fact that the lifts are very delicate and require a level surface with adequate space in order to achieve a safe and smooth loading.  This means that you will need to secure your own transportation to the Visitors Center and that you cannot utilize the ON/OFF privileges on the tour. Because of the high volume of our stops, including significant traffic density and uneven pavement, use of the lift outside of the Visitors Center would be inadvisable.
